Norwich City have signed midfielder Pelle Mattsson from Danish Superliga side Silkeborg for an undisclosed fee.
He has agreed a contract to run until the end of the 2027-28 season, with an option for a further 12 months.
The 24-year-old's arrival at Carrow Road follows the sale of Marcelino Nunez to East Anglia rivals Ipswich Town.
"When I first heard of the interest from Norwich, I was proud. It's been a long time since the first interest and now we're finally here," he said.
Mattsson made his first-team debut for Silkeborg in 2019 and has played for them in the Europa Conference League this summer.
"He will add great technical quality to our midfield and he possesses an extremely well-rounded profile, effective in all phases of the game," said Canaries sporting director Ben Knapper.
"He has a lot of experience for his age and will also bring leadership qualities, communication and personality to our group.
"He's an intelligent player and someone that we feel will complement the rest of our squad in a really nice way."
Norwich are away to Blackburn Rovers on Saturday, having managed one win and two home defeats under new boss Liam Manning at the start of the season.
