Hartlepool have signed free agent Nathan Ferguson.
The 29-year-old midfielder spent last season in the National League with Maidenhead.
Hartlepool manager Simon Grayson said: "He ticked a lot of the boxes that we had when he first came in to train, and is the type of player we have been looking to add to the group.
"He is rich in experience as well, so he will add plenty of experience to this side, which will boost us."
Ferguson, who counts Crawley, Southend and Wealdstone among his former clubs, could be available to make his debut against Brackley on Saturday.
