Hibernian have signed Scotland Under-21 forward Kieron Bowie from Fulham for what they describe as "a significant fee".

The 21-year-old, who has signed a four-year contract with the Scottish Premiership club, had joined the Premier League club from hometown club Raith Rovers four years ago.

Hibs head coach David Gray described Bowie as "an exciting Scottish talent" on his club website.

"He can play anywhere across the front three and his pace and power will give us an extra dimension going forward," he said. "He has all the attributes to be a success in this league.

"Players of Kieron’s ability and potential are always in high-demand, so to sign of player of his calibre shows the ambition that we’ve got here."

Bowie came to the attention of Fulham when his 10 goals during his breakthrough season at Stark's Park helped Rovers lift the Scottish League 1 title.

His five goals in 40 appearances on loan to Northampton Town helped secure promotion to League One and he followed that by finding the net nine times in 45 outings last season during his second spell there as they secure a mid-table finish.
