Stevenage captain Piergianni signs new deal

Stevenage captain Carl Piergianni has signed a new contract extension with the League One club.
The length of Piergianni's new deal has not been revealed.
The 33-year-old central defender moved to the Lamex Stadium in the summer of 2022 and won promotion to the third tier in his debut season.
Piergianni was named Stevenage's player of the year in back-to-back campaigns in 2022-23 and 2023-34.
Following his arrival from Oldham, he has made over 150 appearances for the club.
Piergianni previously had spells at clubs including Altrincham, Stockport, Boston United and Salford City.
