Peterborough have signed attacking midfielder Klaidi Lolos from Bolton Wanderers for an undisclosed fee.

The 24-year-old Greek began his career at Crystal Palace before joining Plymouth Argyle.

He has also had spells at Torquay United and Crawley Town, where he scored 13 goals in 43 League Two appearances during the 2023-24 campaign.

Lolos told the Posh club website:, external "It has happened quite quickly, but I am really pleased to be here and can't wait for the season to come, it is very exciting."

Manager Darren Ferguson said Lolos impressed him while playing for Crawley.

"I have kept an eye on him for about 18 months, ever since he played against us for Crawley Town when he was extremely impressive. Sometimes you play against an opposition and a player catches your eye."

Ferguson added that the club are likely to sign more players before the transfer window shuts on 1 September.

"We needed a different type of 10 if we play in that way. He (Lolos) will bring lots of energy, he can run and is a good footballer, so I am delighted to get this over the line and I think we will get one or two more in as well."

Lolos was born in Athens and has represented Greece at Under-19 level.

Peterborough begin their League One campaign away to Cardiff on Saturday (12:30 BST).
