Cheltenham Town have signed defender Valentino Adedokun on loan from Premier League side Brentford for the rest of the season.

The 21-year-old has been in Brentford's academy since 2021, after starting his career in his native Ireland for Dundalk.

Adedokun, who is the Robins' third signing of this transfer window so far, spent part of this season on loan with Hungarian side Diosgyori VTK, where he played three games.

"Val will give us good competition for places in the squad," said manager Michael Flynn.

"He's quick, explosive and very good in one-v-one situations both defensively and in the final third."

Adedokun joins fellow Brentford academy team-mate, striker Ashley Hay, in moving to Gloucestershire on loan this January, as well as defender Darragh Power from League of Ireland side Waterford.
