Huddersfield sign defenders Roughan and Low

Huddersfield Town have signed Lincoln City defender Sean Roughan on a three-year contract.

The 22-year-old Irishman, who played 149 games for the Imps and scored five goals, will join on 1 July when his current deal expires.

But the Terriers will be required to pay a compensation fee for the left-back as he is under 24.

Huddersfield have also brought in Wycombe Wanderers defender Joe Low on a similar three-year deal.

The 23-year-old Wales international will join as a free agent when his contract with the Chairboys comes to an end.

He made 72 League One appearances in two seasons with Wycombe.

Boss Lee Grant told the club website:, external "I am really pleased to welcome Joe to the club. He is a player who we identified early as a key target to bring in to help form our defence for the 2025-26 season."

Meanwhile, the Terriers have appointed Marc Bridge-Wilkinson, Paul McShane and Jonathan Robinson as assistant coaches.

Bridge-Wilkinson, who had spells with Port Vale, Bradford and Carlisle as a player, has spent the past 10 years coaching in the Liverpool academy.

Former Republic of Ireland international McShane joins from Manchester United, while Robinson has worked at Liverpool and Saudi Arabian side Al-Ettifaq.

"Their diverse backgrounds, dedication and commitment to excellence will be invaluable to us as we continue to grow and build something special at this club," Grant told the club website, external.

"Each brings a unique outlook and energy that aligns with our values and future aspirations."
