Huddersfield bring in winger Alves & striker Redmond

Huddersfield Town have signed Leicester City winger Will Alves and Aston Villa forward Zepiqueno Redmond on season-long loan deals.

Redmond, 19, only joined Villa earlier this summer from Feyenoord and he has been sent out to gain experience of English football.

The Netherlands youth international played six games for the Dutch side last season, including two in the Champions League.

"With a great pedigree at both club and international level, he's an exciting young player and I look forward to working alongside our coaches to help him on his journey of fulfilling that promise," Terriers boss Lee Grant told the club website., external

Alves, meanwhile, played once for Leicester in the Premier League last season before joining Cardiff City on loan in February, where he made 15 appearances in all competitions.

The 20-year-old's only game for the Foxes this season came against Huddersfield in the Carabao Cup, with the Terriers progressing to the second round after winning on penalties.

Alves has also featured for England at Under-17, Under-18 and Under-20 level.

He told the club website:, external "Having experienced the intensity, hunger and quality of the team already for myself this season, that was something I was really keen on becoming a part of and contributing to."

Alves and Redmond become the 13th and 14th signings made by the Terriers during the transfer window.
