Leicester City have signed Jamaica midfielder Chantelle Swaby on a free transfer.

The 25-year-old has agreed a two-year contract after leaving French club Fleury when her contract expired.

She made 33 appearances across two seasons and helped Fleury finish fifth in the Premiere Ligue, the French top flight, last season.

"It’s going to be a great experience and a good challenge for me as well," she told the Leicester website, external.

Swaby started her career at the USA's Sky Blue FC and had a one-year stint with Rangers in the Scottish Women's Premier League, where she won the 2021-22 title.

"I’ve been wanting to come to the WSL for years now, but I just haven’t had the chance to.

"I’m happy to be here and can’t wait to get started," she said.

The 2024-25 WSL season begins on 21 September.
