The Jersey Football Association has appointed Lee Ingram as its new president.
Ingram, who works in the island's legal profession, succeeds Bradley Vowden after he stepped down in September having held the role for six years.
He becomes the 18th person in the position and has previously played junior football for the island.
"I am honoured and privileged to have been asked to represent the local association," Ingram said.
"Whilst president, Bradley was an incredible ambassador for the sport in the island and I will do my utmost to follow in his footsteps to ensure that his legacy is carried on to the best of my ability.
"In particular, I want to see the sport grow from grassroots level all the way up to elite representative level and become a diverse and all-inclusive offering for our local community."
Jersey FA chairman Jimmy Kelly said: "Lee has strong links with sporting communities across Jersey and his voluntary support of our football teams in the background at the recent Island Games in Orkney was much appreciated.
"It's clear he has a passion for football and a commitment to the development of our sport in Jersey, particularly the female game. We look forward to working with him over the years ahead."
