The final round of games in the first phase of the Cymru Premier season remains unfinished after Tuesday's game between Connah's Quay Nomads and Bala Town was abandoned due to fog.

An emergency meeting of the Football Association of Wales National Leagues Board will take place on Wednesday morning to discuss the matter.

Connah's Quay were leading 3-0 when the game was abandoned, the final match ahead of the mid-season league split.

The game at Flint's Essity Stadium was in doubt ahead of kick-off because of thick fog but eventually started 15 minutes late.

Nomads made an impressive start with Rhys Hughes scoring twice inside the opening nine minutes, with the first goal coming from an effort inside his own half.

Ben Nash scored a third to give the hosts a 3-0 interval lead.

But poor visibility resulted in a pause in play early in the second half and with half an hour of the game remaining.

Following a delay of over half an hour referee Tom Owen abandoned the game.

Both Bala and Connah's Quay went into the game in the mix to secured a place in the Championship Conference for the second half of the season.

Connah's Quay will be in the bottom six irrespective of the outcome of the Bala game as Billy Paynter's side cannot overtake Barry, who occupy the sixth spot currently.

Barry drew 1-1 at home to Haverfordwest County but Bala only need a point to secure their place.

Caernarfon secured their place in the top six with goals from Gruff John as well as debutants Josh Lock and Jake Canavan – on loan from TNS – sealing a 3-0 win at home to Flint.

Cardiff Met are also in the Championship Conference despite losing 2-0 at home to leaders The New Saints.

Aramide Oteh's first half penalty and Rory Holden's header a minute from time secured their win.

Penybont kept up the pressure on Saints with a 2-1 win at struggling Newtown with Owen Pritchard scoring twice.
