Huddersfield winger Thomas joins Nantes on loan

Sorba Thomas scored four goals in 41 Championship appearances for Huddersfield last season as they were relegated to League One

Huddersfield Town winger Sorba Thomas has joined French Ligue 1 side Nantes on a season-long loan deal.

The 25-year-old Wales international has scored seven goals in 114 league appearances for the Terriers since joining from Boreham Wood in January 2021.

Nantes finished 14th in the 18-team French top flight last season.

“Sorba’s attitude has been first class in the time I’ve spent with him, and even with rumours swirling around his future, he’s trained well and worked hard to improve," boss Michael Duff told the club website.
