Stevenage have signed striker Jovan Malcolm from National League club Gateshead for what they say is a "five-figure transfer fee".
The 22-year-old has agreed a two-year deal at the Lamex Stadium, with an option for a further 12 months.
Malcolm began his career at West Bromwich Albion, scoring twice in four senior appearances - both in the FA Cup.
Following loan spells at Accrington, Solihull Moors and Cheltenham, he joined Gateshead in September 2024 and was on target nine times in 38 appearances last season.
Stevenage have begun the new season well with wins over Blackpool and Rotherham United and are away to Charlton Athletic in the Carabo Cup on Tuesday evening.
