Celtic have completed a trio of signings on deadline day, with a deal for Dundee playmaker Luke McCowan adding to their earlier recruitment of midfielder Arne Engels from Augsburg and centre-back Auston Trusty from Sheffield United.
Engels has signed a four-year contract for a fee that reports suggest could break the club record paid to Paris St-Germain for striker Odsonne Edouard in 2018.
The 20-year-old Belgian has made 53 appearances for the Bundesliga club, having started his career with Club Bruges.
Trusty, who has been capped twice for United States, has signed a five-year deal.
The 26-year-old made 34 appearances last season for a side relegated from the Premier League after joining from Arsenal and started two of their three English Championship games this term.
"He is a quick, strong, athletic defender with great ability and good experience," said manager Brendan Rodgers.

Rodgers also praised Engels' ability to play in "a number of positions" and described him as "an exciting young player of real quality".
He added: "I think Arne’s style of play, his energy and his technical ability really will suit our game model."
McCowan, meanwhile, arrives on a three-year deal in the face of interest from Hibernian.
The 26-year-old joined Dundee from Ayr United in June 2021 and scored 28 times in 123 appearances, including three in eight this term.
"Luke is a player with great ability, energy and commitment and we are sure he will be a very positive addition to our squad," Rodgers added.
Meanwhile, Republic of Ireland winger Mikey Johnston has been sold to West Bromwich Albion, having spent time on loan to the Championship club last season.
