Blackburn Rovers have been fined £35,000 in addition to being warned for misconduct relating to issues with crowd control during their Championship fixture against Ipswich Town in March.

It was alleged the club failed to ensure its fans conducted themselves in an orderly fashion, did not use words or behave in an improper way, or throw missiles and other potentially harmful or dangerous objects towards the pitch.

The club admitted the charge, which concerned a Blackburn supporter who shouted abuse at assistant referee Paul Hodskinson and threw a bottle at him.

An independent regulatory commission heard, external that the club's stewards allowed the supporter to walk away without identifying them, leading to the fine.

Conor Chaplin scored the only goal as Ipswich won the fixture 1-0.
