Last season Truro battled against relegation as the club struggled having been forced to play matches first in Plymouth and then Gloucester while waiting for their new ground to be finished.
Since returning to Truro this season, the Tinners have averaged home crowds of around 1,800 and have won more than half of their league games under the former Macclesfield Town, Port Vale and York City boss.
"Things have improved, I feel, at the football club this year and there's a really good feeling," Askey added.
"We just want to try to keep it going.
"It's going to be tough, We know we're up against it but we're enjoying it and the players have responded really well. Their attitude's been first class right from the off."
