AFC Wimbledon sign ex-Cardiff midfielder Sawyers

Romaine Sawyers spent two years with Cardiff City

Romaine Sawyers has joined AFC Wimbledon on a one-month contract.

The midfielder, 33, has been without a club since leaving Cardiff City last summer. He previously had spells at Brentford, West Bromwich Albion and Walsall.

"It feels good to get back into a position to start playing again after a few months without a club," Sawyers told the Dons' website.

"My aim is to come in and utilise my experience to help the boys get some results over the busy Christmas period."
