Norwich City left-back Dimitris Giannoulis has joined German club FC Augsburg on a four-year contract after his deal at Carrow Road expired.

The 28-year-old Greece international joined the Canaries for an undisclosed fee in the summer of 2021, following an earlier loan spell.

He made 103 appearances for the club, including 40 last season, when he started both legs of their Championship play-offs defeat by Leeds United.

"He’s a dynamic, hard-running full-back, whose tough-tackling nature will help our defence, while he will also be able to add a new dimension to our attacking game," said Augsburg sporting director Marinko Jurendic.

Norwich, meanwhile, have appointed Nick Stanley as their new set-piece coach.

He arrives at Carrow Road from Brighton and Hove Albion, where he spent 12 years in a variety of roles.
