Former Scunthorpe and Newcastle United striker Barrie Thomas has died at the age of 88.
Thomas had two spells with the Iron and is the club's third-highest scorer with 96 goals in all competitions.
He spent two years with the Magpies between his stints in Lincolnshire and scored 50 goals in just 78 appearances.
Thomas, who started his career with Leicester City, retired in 1968 after a spell with Barnsley.
