Wales midfielder Chloe Williams has rejoined Wolverhampton Wanderers Women, six years after departing for Manchester United.

The 24-year-old, who has one international cap, was part of the youth set-up at Wolves before joining Manchester United's under-21 squad in July 2019.

Williams played for Blackburn Rovers on loan over two seasons before joining them permanently in 2023.

She will now bolster the Wolves squad and could feature in Sunday's Women's National League Northern Premier Division game at Liverpool Feds Women.

Wolves manager Dan McNamara said he was looking forward to working with Williams again.

"Chloe is the epitome of what we have been trying to do as a football club during my time as manager, so I'm delighted we've been able to bring her home to Wolves," McNamara told the club website.

"I can remember the first time I met her... she was very gifted, but she had a dream – she wanted to represent Wales and she wanted to play as high as she possibly could in the pyramid.

"Unfortunately, I only got 18 months of working with her, where I exposed her to the first-team environment, but we all know it wasn't going to be long until she got her move away, which came with Manchester United's PGA, which was a really great move for her in that moment.

"We really wanted to push her to go and achieve her ambitions and what she could as a footballer, so to bring her back now after six years, and have her back in to show us how far she's come in her journey... it's going to be great for the team and great for the club."
