Jersey Bulls won for the first time in the eighth tier of English football as they beat Herne Bay 4-0.
Having drawn their first three matches since promotion to Isthmian League South East the Bulls put in an excellent display to keep their unbeaten record in the league intact.
After a disappointing exit in the FA Trophy on Saturday the islanders bounced back in style as Jonny Le Quesne fired them ahead from a tight angle in the sixth minute.
Toby Ritzema made it 2-0 nine minutes later as he converted Rai Dos Santos’ pass.
The islanders continued to create chances against a side that had began the evening in the top eight and were rewarded when Miguel Carvalho fired into the top corner nine minutes before the break.
Carvalho and Dos Santos had opportunities after the interval before Lorne Bickley fired a fourth into the top corner with two minutes left as Bulls kept their first clean sheet in the eighth tier.
The win means the Jersey side move up to 13th in the table after their first league game in a month - their exploits in the FA Cup and FA Trophy meant they had played just three league games before Tuesday’s trip to Kent.
