Boss Michael Skubala wants Lincoln City fans to relish the Imps' high-flying exploits – even if it is not something he is revelling in himself right now.
Saturday's 2-1 victory against Doncaster Rovers moved Lincoln up to second in the League One table and equal on points with leaders Stockport County.
The Hatters, who have played a game fewer than the Imps, remain at the summit on goals scored.
"It's great for fans to get excited and they can really enjoy it," Skubala told BBC Radio Lincolnshire.
"But my job is to keep level and focused. The player know that as well, so let the fans enjoy it.
"We just have to keep to our processes. We have great players, great coaching staff and great people around the club.
"We just have to keep churning out the three points as much as possible."
The victory against a Doncaster side that has now failed to claim three points in nine League One games ended Lincoln's own three-game winless run in the competition.
And what was just their second league win in six games, dating back to September, moved them up four places in the table.
Lincoln, however, were the only side in the top six to play over the international break, meaning they have played at least one more match than those in the play-off positions below them.
Still, Lincoln took advantage of the inactivity of those sides around them and got themselves near the top of the table with a performance that Skubala described as "electric" in parts.
"I loved us first half, I thought we were amazing. We looked exciting," he added.
"In the second half we maybe went a bit safe and let them back in and they scored.
"But the character to come back and get that second goal – this is a special group and they dig deep."
