Norwich sign Villa winger Dobbin on loan

Lewis Dobbin made 17 appearances while on loan with Norwich's Championship rivals West Bromwich Albion earlier this season

Norwich City have completed the loan signing of winger Lewis Dobbin from Aston Villa.

The 22-year-old will remain at Carrow Road until the end of the season, having spent the first half of the campaign on loan with Norwich's Championship rivals, West Bromwich Albion and featuring in the 2-2 draw between the sides in November.

Dobbin cost Aston Villa £10m when moving from Everton in June and previously spent the 2022-23 season on loan with Derby, making 20 starts in League One and scoring three goals.

"I think he's best when he is on the left and can dribble in and shoot," Norwich boss Johannes Hoff Thorup told BBC Radio Norfolk.

"He can also play as a number nine for us and he's a good runner. He can run in behind."

The Canaries host Coventry City on Saturday looking to extend their unbeaten run to four matches.
