Preston North End midfielder Duane Holmes is expected to be out for two months with a fractured fibula.

The 30-year-old suffered the injury in a tackle with Norwich defender Shane Duffy during Tuesday's 1-0 win at Carrow Road.

"It was a poor challenge, a needless challenge," assistant Stuart McCall told BBC Radio Lancashire.

"Duane's done well for us, he's probably been involved in every game. We're disappointed."
