League One relegation battlers Burton Albion have signed former Wrexham wing-back Anthony Forde on a deal until the end of the season.

The 31-year-old was released earlier in February after helping the Welsh club to back-to-back promotions, taking Wrexham from the National League to League One.

Forde, who featured in the Premier League with Wolves early in his career, was limited to just four appearances for Wrexham, in the EFL Trophy, this season.

While he has featured in England's top five tiers in the past 13 years, he has spent the largest amount of time at League One level.

"My standards are pretty high and it's up to me to show what I can do now," Forde told Burton's website., external

"I can't wait to get going and hopefully be a part of something good. I'm delighted to sign."

Forde joins a Burton side that are 21st in the table and two points adrift of safety.
