Morecambe free to sign players as funds secured

Morecambe are now able to sign players as the club's owners have secured funds for the rest of the season.

A statement says, external that Bond Group Investments have now "facilitated the necessary financial support" to satisfy EFL requirements that funding can be met to see them through the campaign.

So far in the window, the club has only been able to bring in two free agents in goalkeeper Ryan Schofield and midfielder Callum Cooke.

But manager Derek Adams can now strengthen his squad before the end of the transfer window on Monday.

The Shrimps are bottom of League Two and six points adrift of safety after losing 1-0 at Bradford City on Tuesday.
