Birmingham City goalkeeper Ryan Allsop has signed a contract extension which will keep him at the Championship club until June 2028.

The 33-year-old, who joined Birmingham from Hull City in June 2024, has made 53 appearances in all competitions for Blues, including 45 in last season's record-breaking League One title-winning campaign.

Allsop started this season as first choice at St Andrew's but has had to settle for a place on the bench in their past seven league games with Brighton loanee James Beadle replacing him.

"I'm really excited. It's obviously no secret that I'm a Birmingham City fan and it is a club that is very close to my heart," he told the club website., external

"I'm really proud and privileged to be playing a part in the huge ambition that we've got and really proud to be extending my stay. Long may the success continue."
