Ebbsfleet United have sacked manager Danny Searle with the club bottom of the National League table.

Searle took over as interim boss at the end of January when Dennis Kutrieb left the club, before he was given the permanent position the following month.

Searle steered Ebbsfleet from the relegation zone to a 19th-place finish in the 2023-24 season.

But they have picked up one point in their first seven games of the new season, in a 0-0 draw away at Braintree Town.

Assistant manager Anwar Uddin, external has also left his role at Kuflink Stadium.

"The club would like to go on record as recognising the incredible job that Danny achieved last season in saving the club from relegation," Ebbsfleet said in a statement.

"It is with that very status in mind this season, however, that the decision has been made to part company with Danny after a start to the season which has fallen below expectations."

Midfielder Josh Wright has been put in temporary charge for Tuesday's home fixture against Aldershot Town.
