Galatasaray's Icardi out for months with torn ACL

Galatasaray forward Mauro Icardi could miss the rest of the season after rupturing his anterior cruciate ligament in their Europa League win against Tottenham.
The Argentina striker was stretchered off five minutes from time in his side's 3-2 victory in Istanbul on Thursday.
Icardi, 31, went down in pain as he attempted to close down a pass from Tottenham goalkeeper Fraser Forster.
The Turkish club say the former Paris St-Germain striker will now undergo "pre-operative rehabilitation" before an operation on his right knee.
Recovery time from anterior cruciate ligament tears range from six to nine months.
Icardi moved to Turkey in 2022 on a season-long loan deal from Paris St-Germain and completed a permanent move a year later.
He has scored 61 times in 86 appearances for the Istanbul club.
