Richarlison was a second-half substitute against Aston Villa on Sunday but had to be withdrawn

Ange Postecoglou says Tottenham Hotspur striker Richarlison is set for a spell on the sidelines.

Spurs face Galatasaray in the Europa League on Thursday, but will be without the Brazilian after he injured his hamstring during Spurs' 4-1 win against Aston Villa on Sunday.

Defender Cristian Romero will also miss the tie through injury, although his prognosis is more encouraging.

"From the weekend, Richarlison unfortunately injured his hamstring, so I'm still getting the final information but I think he'll be out for a while," Postecoglou told reporters before Thursday's game in Istanbul.

"Romero, I think nothing too serious hopefully, so still a chance for the weekend,"

German forward Timo Werner and 17-year-old Mikey Moore were both unused substitutes against Villa, and neither player has travelled to Turkey.

"Timo Werner has been carrying a bit of a groin complaint, which is still there, so he didn't travel and Mikey Moore picked up a bit of a virus yesterday so we've left him at home as well," Postecoglou said.

"Everyone else who was fit should be available."

Tottenham are second in the Europa League table with nine points after beating Qarabag, Ferencvaros and AZ Alkmaar.
