Daniel James is out of Wales' Nations League games against Turkey and Montenegro.

Leeds United boss Daniel Farke revealed the news before the Football Association of Wales confirmed it later on Thursday.

It is the first injury blow for Wales since new head coach Craig Bellamy announced his initial squad on Wednesday, including the 26-year-old winger.

Farke says James has a hamstring injury that has ruled him out of Leeds' home Championship game against Hull City on Saturday.

"Dan James has a hamstring injury and will miss the [Hull] game. He won't travel with Wales," said Farke.

Bellamy will nervously await any more injuries before Wales host Turkey in Cardiff on Friday, 6 September and then play in Montenegro three days later.

Another Wales winger, Ipswich Town's Wes Burns, was ruled out - also with a hamstring problem - before Bellamy announced his first squad.
