Nottingham Forest have signed centre-back David Carmo from Porto on a five-year deal.

The 25-year-old Angola international will spend the 2024-25 season on loan at Olympiakos, where he spent the second half of last season and won the Europa Conference League.

Portugal-born Carmo made 27 appearances for Porto, including in the Champions League, having joined from Braga in 2022.

He is the second player to sign for Forest this summer and head straight out on loan to Olympiakos, following in the footsteps of New Zealand midfielder Marko Stamenic who joined from Red Star Belgrade.

Forest's owner Evangelos Marinakis also owns Olympiakos.
