Huddersfield Town manager Lee Grant says Dion Charles never doubted himself during his painfully long run without a goal.

The Northern Ireland international failed to score for Town last season after signing from Bolton in January and continued to struggle at the start of the new campaign, but has found the net in his past three outings, most recently in Saturday's 3-1 win at Mansfield.

"Perhaps some of last season had leaked into this season in terms of his own level," Grant said.

"Not at any point had Dion wavered in terms of his desire to be back to his own level and his trust and belief in the group. That was incredibly refreshing.

"I have to give Dion full credit, his work ethic and his willingness to keep his head down. He's stuck at it and it's paid off."

The Terriers are seventh in League One, two points outside the play-off places, and are away to Luton Town on Tuesday evening.
