Oxford defender Kioso returns to Posh on loan

Peter Kioso made 30 appearances for Oxford United in the Championship last season

Peterborough United have re-signed defender Peter Kioso on a season-long loan deal from Oxford United.

Kioso spent the first half of the 2023-24 campaign on loan with Posh from then parent club Rotherham United, making 27 appearances and scoring one goal.

He moved to Oxford last summer and played in 33 games in all competitions for the U's, but has returned to Peterborough where he said he has "unfinished business".

"I owe it to the owner, gaffer and fans for the trust they put in me two seasons ago when I needed somewhere to showcase myself," Kioso told the club website.

"Posh gave me that chance so it's time to repay that and I will do everything I can to do that. My job is to come in, help the team and I am confident the fortunes will change."
