Grimsby sign Wrexham midfielder Davies on loan

Jordan Davies was involved in Wrexham's rise from the National League to League One

Grimsby have signed midfielder Jordan Davies from Wrexham on a season-long loan.

Davies, 25, started his career with the Welsh club and returned there in 2020 following a spell three-year spell with Brighton.

He scored 21 goals during Wrexham's 2021-22 National League campaign.

"I think the club's a perfect fit for me to get back into the rhythm of playing games week in, week out, and I'm looking forward to getting started," Davies told Grimsby's website.

"I'm an attacking midfielder who likes to create goals and also get in the box and score goals as well."

Head coach David Artell added: "I'm delighted we have been able to bring Jordan to Grimsby Town. He's a terrific player and we believe he'll be an excellent acquisition for us."
