Aldershot Town will donate half of proceeds made from away ticket sales from their National League match against Morecambe to the Lancashire club's supporters' trust.

The two sides are due to meet at the EBB Stadium on Monday after a suspension imposed on Morecambe was lifted following the Panjab Warriors consortium's takeover of the club.

The Shrimps were forced to suspend their first three fixtures of the season because of the financial crisis which have left them with just five first-team players.

Panjab Warriors completed a protracted takeover on Monday, sacking manager Derek Adams the same day and replacing him with Ashvir Singh Johal within 24 hours.

Morecambe will open their season at home to Altrincham Town on Saturday before travelling to Aldershot on Monday.

"As a club that has suffered from financial adversity in the past, our supporters and stakeholders know all too well the turmoil that has been thrust upon those involved with the Shrimps in recent times," a statement on Aldershot X account said, external.

Aldershot said they would donate 50% of the revenue from away tickets sold back to the Shrimps Trust, and 200 matchday programmes would be made available free of charge to travelling fans.
