Winger Jonathan Leko has signed a new, undisclosed-length contract with MK Dons.

The 26-year-old joined the club from Birmingham City in January 2023 and has so far made 55 appearances and scored eight goals.

Leko, who began his career with West Bromwich Albion, spent over a year out injured after damaging knee ligaments while on loan at Burton in January 2024.

He played his first game for 14 months in MK Dons' 1-0 win at Cheltenham in March.

Leko said he was "grateful for everything the club had done" for him during his rehabilitation and the medical team had "been so patient".

Head coach Paul Warne said Leko at his best was "unplayable" and was looking forward to continuing their work together.

"This is a big year for Leks. He's a competitor, he'll have to train at his best to get into the team, but I'm sure he will, and that's why I'm thrilled he's staying," Warne said., external

Leko's new deal follows the signings of four new players by Warne with winger Nathaniel Mendez-Laing, forward Rushian Hepburn-Murphy, defender Gethin Jones and striker Aaron Collins all arriving ahead of next season.
