Preston midfielder McCann signs contract extension

Ali McCann has been ever-present in the Championship for fourth-placed Preston this season

Preston North End midfielder Ali McCann has signed a new contract to keep him at the club until the end of the 2028-29 season.

The 25-year-old Northern Ireland international joined the Championship side from St Johnstone in August 2021 and has scored twice in 128 league appearances.

"I feel really settled here and I've really enjoyed my time, so I'm happy it's continuing," he told the club website.

"I think where the club and the squad is now and how we've started this season has been unreal.
