Lincoln City have signed defender Saxon Earley on a season-long loan from Championship side Plymouth Argyle.

Earley, 21, spent the first half of the 2022-23 season on loan at Stevenage from Norwich, making 21 league appearances to help Boro win promotion from League Two.

The left-back has struggled to hold down a place in the Plymouth first team having not played for the Pilgrims since August 2023.

Lincoln head coach Michael Skubala said he was "delighted" with the signing, which is the Imps' 13th of the summer transfer window.

"Saxon has some excellent attributes. He is aggressive, athletic and good technically.

"He will really add to our defensive options and we are delighted to have added him to the squad at the end of the transfer window," he told the club website., external

Lincoln sit sixth in the League One table with two wins from their first three games.
