Oldham Athletic have signed defender Dynel Simeu on a short-term contract.

Simeu, 23, will be with Oldham until 3 January 2026, making him available for 10 League Two fixtures.

The centre-half was most recently with Teuta in Albania, having been released by Southampton.

A former England age-group player, Simeu has EFL experience from loan spells with Carlisle United, Tranmere Rovers and Morecambe.

"I've had Dynel at Tranmere and he's had an excellent upbringing in top academies and valuable experience in the EFL," said, external Oldham manager Micky Mellon.

"We believe this is a great environment for him to kick on and show what he can do."
