Stoke have signed Republic of Ireland Under-21 international Bosun Lawal from Celtic on a four-year contract.
Lawal, who can play in defence or midfield, watched from the stands as the Potters beat Coventry 1-0 on Saturday in their first game of the season.
The 21-year-old, who spent two years in Watford’s academy before joining Celtic in 2021, was on loan at Fleetwood last season and scored six goals in 42 League One games.
"I witnessed the electric atmosphere in the stadium first-hand on Saturday, which was so enjoyable,” Lawal, who moves to the Potteries for an undisclosed fee, told the club's website, external.
"I can’t wait to be out there experiencing that myself in the not-too-distant future and to enjoy long-term success here at Stoke City."
Lawal, who made a single senior appearance for Celtic in a Scottish Cup tie against Greenock Morton, is currently out with a minor injury.
