Swansea City Under-21s captain Mitchell Bates has joined National League South side Truro City on loan until the end of the season.
Bates, 20, rejoined the Swans' academy from Briton Ferry Llansawel a year ago.
He has yet to play a first-team game for the Championship club, but has extended his contract at the Swansea.com Stadium until the summer of 2026.
"We are short in numbers, especially in midfield with Yassine En-Neyah being injured," Truro manager John Askey told the club website.
"It was important that we got someone in and Mitchell will be looking to make further steps into men's football and prove himself.
"It is his first loan and we hope it is a successful one, with this move helping him with his career."
Meanwhile, Swindon Town defender Pharrell Johnson has returned to the League Two club from Truro.
The 20-year-old, who had been on a season-long loan, played just once for the Tinners in a home FA Cup defeat by Brackley Town in September.
