MK Dons have completed the signing of defender Kane Wilson from Derby County for an undisclosed fee.

Wilson, 25, is the Dons' 10th summer signing, with the deal subject to English Football League and FA clearance.

The wing-back, who made 85 appearances for the Rams in two seasons after moving from Bristol City, says reuniting with manager Paul Warne was a huge draw.

"He [Warne] is one of a kind. He makes me laugh! When we spoke on the phone, he was so positive about the club; it was one of those things that was just right for me and my family. I just really wanted to be involved," he said.

Wilson hopes to impress at his new club by getting forward and involved in attacks.

"Some of my best attributes are going forward, which the gaffer loves, I just try and excite the fans, to be honest.

"I love running at players, dribbling, and if I can contribute to clean sheets and creating chances, then hopefully I'll have a good rapport with the fans!"

Having begun his career at West Brom, Wilson joined Forest Green Rovers in 2020 following loan spells with Exeter, Tranmere Rovers and Walsall.
