Barrow sign goalkeeper Winterbottom from Brentford

Ben Winterbottom played two games for Liverpool U21 in the EFL Trophy in 2019

Barrow have signed goalkeeper Ben Winterbottom on a free transfer from Premier League side Brentford.

Winterbottom, 23, never made a senior appearance for the Bees, but he spent last season on loan with AFC Fylde in the National League.

The former Blackburn Rovers and Liverpool academy player moves to the League Two side on a two-year contract with the option of a third year.

"Barrow mentioned they watched me a lot last year," he told the club's website.

"Then for them to reach out and be as positive and as keen as they have been was a real plus point for me."
