Wycombe Wanderers interim chairman Dan Rice has been charged with misconduct by the Football Association.
It is alleged he acted in an improper manner to a Professional Game Match Officials staff member during Wycombe's game against AFC Wimbledon on 27 September.
Rice joined the Chairboys from Premier League club Everton in May 2024 as chief operating officer.
He stepped up as chairman the following month when former owner Rob Couhig stepped down, having agreed the sale of the club to a company headed by Kazakhstan billionaire Mikheil Lomtadze.
The game against Wimbledon at Plough Lane was won 2-1 by the home side.
Rice has until Thursday to respond to the charge.
