Plymouth Argyle have signed both Middlesbrough midfielder Law McCabe and Oxford United winger Owen Dale on loan for the remainder of the season.
McCabe has made seven appearances for his boyhood club, having come through Boro's academy since the age of nine.
The 19-year-old is currently with England's Under-20 squad to play Italy in Chesterfield on Friday and will link up with the League One side on his return.
Former Crewe Alexandra player of the season Dale, 26, joined Oxford from Blackpool in February 2024 and started in their League One play-off final triumph that season.
Plymouth head coach Tom Cleverley said last month that the club's "priority" before the transfer window closed was to bring in a midfielder.
"Law is an exceptional young talent who is highly thought of by everyone at Middlesbrough," Cleverley told Plymouth's website, external.
"He is technically very good, excellent on the ball, and will complement the style of play we are looking to implement perfectly."
Dale will provide cover for Xavier Amaechi, who is not expected to feature again this year after suffering a hamstring tear in training last week.
"Owen brings with him strong EFL experience, having played close to 250 games at just 26 years of age," Cleverley added., external
"Nearly 150 of those have come at League One level and he has also played at a higher level for Oxford, so he will bring real quality and experience to the squad.
"He will add to the mentality of the group but most importantly will strengthen our options in a wide area and increase our creativity and output."
Plymouth, relegated from the Championship last season, are 21st in the table following their 4-0 defeat at Cardiff City on Saturday and host eighth-placed Stockport County on Saturday (15:00 BST).
