Hobson among six released by Oldham Athletic

Oldham Athletic have released Shaun Hobson, Kofi Moore, Alex Reid, Otis Khan, Joe Nuttall and Kurt Willoughby following the end of the 2024-25 season.

Hobson made 22 appearances last season including in their victorious National League promotion final win against Southend United at Wembley last week.

A total of 15 players are out of contract at the end of the season including Mathew Hudson, Mark Kitching, Josh Lundstram, Joe Garner, Charlie Raglan, Mike Fondop, Jesurun Uchegbulam, Dan Gardner, Will Sutton, Corry Evans, Oliver Hammond, Joe Pritchard, James Norwood, Tom Donaghy and Scott Moloney.

The Latics say they are in discussions with the group over new deals with the club.

"We would like to place on record our thanks to those players departing this summer, and we wish them all the best in their future careers," a club statement said.
