Whing 'humiliated' by Barrow EFL Trophy thrashing

Andy Whing's team have only managed to score six goals in their 10 games this season

Barrow head coach Andy Whing described the club's 5-0 hammering at Blackpool in the EFL Trophy as "humiliating".
It continues a very poor start to the season for the Bluebirds in which they have lost eight of their 10 games in all competitions.
Whing made eight changes to his starting line-up from the side that was beaten by Bristol Rovers three days earlier, but he was in no mood for excuses.
"It's humiliating losing 5-0. I don't care who you're playing against, whether or not it's our strongest team, whether it's a League One, it's irrelevant. You don't want to be losing by those margins," he told BBC Radio Cumbria.
'No sugar-coating, no excuses'
After guiding the team to 16th last season, having arrived from Solihull Moors in January, Whing has seen his side start very poorly this campaign.
After eight games in League Two, they sit in 21st, just two places and one point above the relegation zone ahead of a home game with Crewe Alexandra on Saturday.
And Whing laid bare the problems he believes that he has in the Bluebirds' current squad.
"You can't just give confidence, you have to earn it, you have to work hard for it," he said.
"But there were one or two who were nowhere near it and not good enough, confidence or no confidence.
"There are some that try really hard but haven't got the quality, and the ones who have got the quality aren't doing what they should be doing, which is a worrying trend, really.
"I'm gutted for everyone. To lose 5-0 is embarrassing. I'm not going to sugar-coat it, I'm not going to make any excuses.
"We have to go to Saturday and make sure we put in some performance."
