Bolton Wanderers forward Victor Adeboyejo will not play again this season after suffering an anterior cruciate ligament injury.
Adeboyejo, 27, did not feature in the 3-1 win over League One leaders Birmingham City on Tuesday.
Instead he faces a lengthy spell on the sidelines after it was discovered that he needs reconstructive surgery on his knee for an injury he sustained on 22 February.
"Unfortunately, we'll lose Vic for the end of this season and a long time," boss Steven Schumacher told the club website.
"But we wish him well and we'll give him our full support in his recovery, and he'll be back next year."
