Bolton have now won four of their seven games since Steven Schumacher took charge

Leaders Birmingham City suffered their first League One defeat in 19 games as play-off chasing Bolton Wanderers came from behind to win.

Emil Hansson scored his first league goal for Blues to put the visitors in front after 23 minutes - but Wanderers hit back against the run of play six minutes before half-time.

John McAtee's low shot beat stand-in goalkeeper Bailey Peacock-Farrell - deputising for the injured Ryan Allsop - at his near post.

After the striker's fourth goal in as many games, McAtee then also had another effort disallowed for offside before the break.

Blues had not conceded a goal in their five previous league outings - but Bolton then scored two more second-half goals to sentence Chris Davies's side to a first reverse since losing at bottom club Shrewsbury on 23 November.

Skipper George Thomason nipped in to nudge Steven Schumacher's side in front after 49 minutes.

Top scorer Aaron Collins then netted his 16th goal from substitute Joel Randall's assist to seal the points in the 71st minute - to boost seventh-placed Wanderers' play-off hopes.
